Karyn Kizilli

About Karyn MA, LMHCA: Karyn Kiziili is a Licensed Mental Health Associate providing counseling services through Monumental Behavioral Health. She has supported a variety of clients, from young children learning to understand and regulate their emotions to older adults who are getting adjusted to the numerous changes that occur throughout their lifespan. 

Karyn has experience utilizing Cognitive-based, Psychodynamic, and Person-Centered approaches in order to create a safe space for clients as they gain a greater understanding of how their upbringings have affected their core beliefs and influenced how they interact with their world. Karyn has a passion for supporting clients as they figure out their unique life path and take the steps needed to achieve a sense of self-actualization.

Educational Background: Karyn received her BA in Psychology from the University of Indianapolis and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Karyn became a Licensed Mental Health Associate in June 2022 and is in the process of working towards full, independent licensure.

Professional Background: Karyn has 7 years of experience working in mental health/human services. She has worked in outpatient and residential facilities providing direct care to people living with severe and persistent mental illness, which includes assistance with routine management, medication management, and building coping skills to manage symptomology. Karyn also has experience working with children on the Autism spectrum in a specialized school setting and has supported them as they work on improving socialization skills and emotional/behavioral management.
